The violent tornado is passing just north of town now. The town of Bowdle is extremely fortunate. The much larger parent storm is wrapping around the very large and violent tornado shrouding it in rain. Typically tornadoes eventually become wrapped in rain from the storm producing them. In this case it is likely not the parent storm's rain, but some smaller cells popping up just south of it and raining into it. The storm itself was very deviant on an outflow boundary and was vented extremely well, as it was leaned over to the northeast but moving largely east. |
