Nearly 7 hours of storm structure talk and some forecasting information, used with some big time real storms. Surface plots, upper air charts, satellite, radar, etc used before each chase to explain what was going in the atmosphere that day as far as instability, wind shear, timing, etc. Then the chases are half just footage playing and half paused footage with naration of what is going on. A ton of info, being nearly 7 hours of goodies. Like a few dvds in one. Watch one chase situation then another some other day.
Just the storms themselves are worth it. But the learning part is worth more than even those on its own. But really just the Bowdle storm itself is worth it. Yet you get the discussion, which there's just a ton of and all the other big storms and discussion. It starts with forecasting and structure sections too as primers for the chase segments. Don't want to wait on a DVD or Blu-ray disc, you can download the video here. Same price but it is in 3 parts.
Part 1 has 1-5 below. Part 2 has 6-11. Part 3 has 12-15. The video of each part is contained in a ZIP file. They are 720P HD mp4 video files. Part 1 is $10, Part 2 is $10 and Part 3 is $5. Part 1 and 2 are basically 2.5 hours each and the 3rd part is 1.5 hours. Each part is a 2 to 3.5 GB download. I really don't think you'd want to skip out on any of the parts in the download method. Crazy storms in them all. And tons of information in the process.
Best moments from 2008 through 2011 including some true beasts of storms and tornadoes. The Bowdle SD storm and tornado is probably worth it on its own. Violent.
There are some really great storms and tornadoes on here. Lots of really crazy structure. A good chunk of the video is from the crazy year 2004 as well as 2005. Just click the link for more information and see just how many storms on on this.
