August 16, 2008 Moon-lit Fog, Sun Corona, Fog Bows and Sunrise, Western Iowa Page 2
Moon is now gone. The fields and the river are about to let loose with the fog. Just wish it had gotten cold enough for that much earlier.

Fields slowly letting loose with the fog.
Boom! When it reaches a certain temp and dew point, the fields can quickly go nuts with the fog creation.
Time to shoot to the east!
This is a crop from a horizontal shot. This is one way to get rid of stupid flares. I never even saw the cow on the hill at the time.
Back to the west.
I'm now down in the fields. I never even saw this corona thing going on around the sun. That's not a lens reflection doing that.
I'm now at Desoto Bend, fog bow hunting.
Fog bow from another location there.

If only the fog had been taller here. Of course the sun has been up a while now too, and the fog is lifting here. Not a bad morning. I drive home, and opt not to sleep till evening, planning to do it again. Wind up only sleeping from 6pm to 9pm, which didn't do the next early morning outing any favors.
Go to the following morning, August 17 here.
