Spooky? It is to me! It is a full sized crop out of the previous image. I was looking at a few of these full size(which is pretty cool on these) and saw that. What the hell is that exactly!? It looks a hell of a lot like a guy with a ball cap on backwards, in the fire. Bob and I both had our hats on backwards, but it can't be us, we're behind the cams. I showed it to him and he laughed and said it was freaky. I thought the only thing it can be is one of the crew members walking through the shot, being silhouetted during one of the blasts going up. Bob doesn't remember anyone walking by, but I seem to remember one. Seems like Terry or someone ran over by there real quick. It has to be whoever that was. I thought it was Terry, but I don't recall him wearing a hat, but perhaps he was, or it was someone else that had a hat on. The closer to the camera they were the larger/taller they'd appear, so it could certainly work out like that. Pretty crazy lol.

I know I was yelling, "We're all going to die" by this point. Jokingly obviously. We were having a serious blast by this point. I'll surely put a video clip on youTube, even though I didn't have it pointed in the best direction. It will maybe close in this perspective a bit, to show how close we were.

This is a full sized crop out of the middle bottom of the previous image. If we're only 25 yards from the mortar tubes, those stray trails would be 10-15 yards away. The grass was on fire behind us already, and soon the area to the left of the main tubes would be as well.

Another full sized crop from that image, this time the bottom right corner. This only encouraged more cheering!

A flat out amazing show, from the best seat in the house. None of us will soon forget it and how much fun it was. Big thanks to Terry and the rest of the crew that set all this up.

Above here is a video clip from the same location the stills were taken. It's chopped down to just under 10 minutes from the 25 minute or so show length. There's a small bit of swearing. Just a warning for those that can't handle that. The angle gets a little better about 2.5 minutes in. I was very concerned about getting the stills right, so much so I almost didn't bother with the video at all. It didn't help that the tripod mount wouldn't screw in, so one thread was holding the camera on, in a very flimsy fashion.
