Yeah ok, so I need a storm soon.  Just like the scary pumpkin "story" I wasn't intending to make any story when I was taking the photos.  It seems more entertaining when one does though.  I would have gotten him fleeing again had Siss cooperated.  Well before that I scared all the birds and squirrels away since I had to clean the windows.  I was getting sick of shooting through the dog nose goo that was smeared all over them.  So I cleaned them and waited for the squirrel to return.  He did.  I had a good ending shot of the squirrel fleeing but Siss wasn't even looking out the door when he did it, so I never snapped the picture.  I soon saw why he fled and why she wasn't looking at him.  The family of deer was now walking down into the yard from the trees.  That would have been an even better shot, cat, squirrel, then deer behind him.

It was kind of hard to get the lower shots since I had to lay down and hold my head up off the ground at an angle to look through the camera(neck muscle was getting tired).  I then noticed this above one might be cool.  The only time you can really shoot the sun and see the disc well is either at sunset or when it's being partially blocked by clouds.  Still even in this case it can be tough to not have the clouds blow out.  I wanted to try to get something with it and have it show the disc.  This was all I could do.  I had to be right up against the glass door(note the shadow/double of that pole from looking through the glass).  Then I needed a bird to land and stay there, then I needed these fast moving clouds to cover the sun just right.  Then I needed to be focused right and get the exposure right.   I then waited and AE locked the exopsure on the sun real quick when I'd take the shot.  Now I want to do it again but with a cooler subject.  The clouds were just right for this, but they fade fast as the sun gets lower.  I quickly ran out of clouds shortly after this one.
